Crowns and Bridges

At Casuarina Square Dental Care, our dentists are dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain a healthy smile for a lifetime. This sometimes requires repair to one or more teeth that may be damaged or decayed.

We offer attractive and durable solutions that will restore both the appearance, as well as all the function, of patient smiles.

What Is a Dental Crown?

A crown is typically made of porcelain that is customised to match the natural teeth. It is designed to strengthen the tooth when a dental filling can not fully repair damage or decay. It covers the natural remaining tooth structure like a “cap,” protecting the entire tooth.

A crown functions like a natural tooth and patients will be able to eat, chew, brush and floss normally.

What Is a Dental Bridge?

For patients living with one or more compromised or missing teeth, normal daily activities such as eating, talking and smiling can become a challenge. A dental bridge may be a solution to replace one or more missing teeth.

A bridge uses crowns as anchors for prosthetic teeth that fill in the spaces left by missing teeth.

We customise each dental bridge to match natural teeth, so it blends in with each patient's smile. Our dentists demonstrate how to keep the anchor teeth clean and healthy with regular brushing and flossing in order to support the longevity of the bridge.

Dental Implants

Dental implants provide a convenient solution for one or more missing teeth. They mimic natural teeth, replacing both the root and the crown of the tooth.

A few strategically placed implants can also support a denture, which is designed to replace an entire arch of teeth. The denture clips into position and is held in place by the dental implants. This provides a secure and stable fit with no movement or slipping when talking or eating while also protecting jawbone health.
